From the creator of The Honest Toddler comes a fiction debut sure to be a must-listen for moms everywhere. There are good moms and bad moms - and then there are hot-mess moms. Introducing Ashley Keller, career girl turned stay-at-home mom who's trying to navigate the world of Pinterest-perfect, Facebook-fantastic, and Instagram-impressive mommies but failing miserably. When Ashley gets the opportunity to participate in the Motherhood Better boot camp run by the mommy-blog-empire maven she idolizes, she jumps at the chance to become the perfect mom she's always wanted to be. But will she fly high or flop? With her razor-sharp wit and knack for finding the funny in everything, Bunmi Laditan creates a character as flawed and lovable as Bridget Jones or Becky Bloomwood while hilariously lambasting the societal pressures placed upon every new mother. At its heart, Ashley's story reminds moms that there's no way to be perfect - but many ways to be great. 1. Language: English. Narrator: Tara Sands. All thirty-four years of Lucy's life people had taken care of her: mommy and daddy in the burbs; the ivory towers of college, then marrying the boy next door, who became a top gun, then the Air Force took care of everything - including his funeral. After the funeral her protective brother put Lucy on a cruise ship to get her away from everyday memories and into the world. Lucy meets Harry, dashing in gold braid and white uniform. He is the entertainment director, full of crazy ideas, music and schemes. Good-time Harry's job is keeping everyone happy on fantasy-voyage. He is very good at avoiding the real world. Lucy is determined to bury her dead and start a new life. She graduated top of her Archeology class -- this translates into what in the modern job market? The Husband Quest-Book 4 When handyman Evan Luchetti and serial bride Jilly Hart meet, sparks fly. But Evan wants forever and Jilly has three rules she lives by: Never, ever marry for love. Poor men are for play; rich men are for keeps. Old men are like fine wine. Once tasted, they don't last very long. The two strike a partnership to restore a 19th century Arkansas inn and sell it so that Evan can be paid the money he's owed and Jilly can move forward with her husband quest. But the more time they spend together, the more things change. Can Evan convince Jilly that love is magic and will make her so much richer than any life money can buy? A Soldier's Quest-Book 5 U.S. Special Forces officer Bobby Luchetti's next mission sends him deep into the heart of Mexico to rescue a kidnapped doctor. When the super soldier shows up to rescue Dr. Jane Harker, she points out that she doesn't need rescuing. She hasn't been kidnapped. Then, someone tries to kill her. Teaching an Ostrich to Fly
15,99 € *
zzgl. 3,00 € Versand

This book is one of a series of books about an ostrich, named Ollie, who is adopted by a family of bluebirds. Beyond that, it is a set of stories inspired by the life of my brother who is also adopted. Where the stories may be perceived as a view of adoption or accepting our differences, I find they are more like lessons of love. In this story we find Mommy Bluebird trying to teach Ollie Ostrich how to fly. This would be natural for a mommy bluebird to do but flying is something that an ostrich can not do. There are times in our lives we encounter obstacles we just do not have the ability to overcome but this does not lower the value of who we are. Mrs. Bluebird teaches Ollie the far better lesson that he is loved whether he can fly or not. Ollie then teaches Mrs. Bluebird that, although he can't fly, he can succeed in other ways.
